Data Engineering

Hi All,

This is my first blog and want to share my views and ideas on data , data about data and extract transfer load.

These words now a days are most familiar words in not only in Datawarehousing team but in entire industry regardless of any specifc type of industy.

Every industry is now a days collects past recorded data, current customer trends, customer information,  current market operations, peer positions. This data is in different formats with different attributes, data types, structures.

Data Engineering : In my views the process of extracting menaingful information from this data is to be called  as Data Engineering.

Engineering is is the discipline, art, skill and profession of acquiring and applying scientific, mathematical, economic, social, and practical knowledge, in order to design and build structures that safely realize improvements to the lives of people.

Data Enigeering helps the indusrty in the same way by undestanding data and provides meaniningful infomration in simple, flexible, updated and most accurate format.

There are tools in the market which helps this tasks more sinpler and efficient howerver if data understanding and output requuiremnts are not fully understood then everything is wrong.

This understadning process is manual and depends on person to person and no any automated system developed yet for the same :)

That's about for today. Let's explore on each data element and tools in near go. Also let me know, what do you want to know so that I can shrae my ideas and views on the same.
